B.S. Information Management and Technology ‘07

I am a recent graduate from the School of Information Studies with a B.S in Information Management and Technology. I simultaneously earned my Commission as a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force through Air Force ROTC at Syracuse. Through these experiences, I was able to not only develop the skills needed to further my career, but emerged with a strong sense of accomplishment.

The information management and technology program played a very important role in developing my professional and personal skills. The classes encourage us to interact with our peers as well as the faculty. We worked closely in teams, allowing us to develop our leadership skills, relationships with each other, and the way we approach conflicts. The faculty and staff were very helpful in providing what we needed in order to succeed. They challenged us in every way; preparing us for the obstacles we will soon face in our career choice.

I am currently at training for my career in the Air Force as an Intelligence Officer. I will be stationed at many different locations throughout the world and will have many more
challenges to face. My experiences at Syracuse University, as well as my experiences after, will provide me with the skills to approach these challenges and to succeed.
